Sensitive Market Map Requirements
Find out what is required for your sensitive market maps
Having an up-to-date, legible and accurate orchard map is an important part of your annual registration.
Codling moth sensitive market maps are required when exporting to markets such as China, Taiwan and Japan and the information put on these maps must meet all requirements as set out in the OAP.
Maps can be printed through the Printing workflow.
Keep in mind:
The NZAPI registration system is the source of truth for Production Sites and Management Areas. Landkind will read from this system.
A production site is what will be registered with MPI for apples and pears that are exported under an MPI approved programme (i.e. OAP), and therefore is the primary traceability point in market. You can have multiple management areas and varieties within a production site.
In order for a production site to be eligible for CMSM it needs to be a minimum of 1 hectare.
A management area is a clearly identified planting of trees, managed as an entity, and may involve one or more varieties. A management area is identified on spray diaries and packhouse submissions
Map Requirements:
Your map needs to be accurate to pass your first CMSM audit. Please ensure you check your map annually and update it to include any changes (i.e. redevelopment).

Size of the production site
Production Sites can be added through the Production Sites workflow and will automatically contain the name and size.
Varieties within each production site - these can be added through the Management Areas workflow
The position and unique identifier of all codling moth traps - these can be added through the Trap Locations workflow
A compass showing north - this is automatically added to the map when Printing
